I wanted to visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, so I chose to stay at Alibi Guesthouse. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the guesthouse has a snack bar/deli and dry cleaning services. The open-air restaurant serving Cambodian and Western dishes was a great feature, and I enjoyed the all-day dining experience.
Defensive manager when reporting filthy toilet.

Phnom Penh was a bit crazy for transport when we arrived because of Obama's visit so we were delighted with the location of Alibi Guesthouse, only 0.5km from the Royal Palace and plenty of restaurants. It is down an alley - not particularly inviting at first sight) but the hotel is a little oasis, set behind buildings in the main street. It is very quiet but close to all the city's highlights. A delightful hotel in a great location.
We had a slightly off-hand welcome on arrival but this was a very minor glitch, as all other staff contacts were friendly and efficient.

I had a wonderful stay at Alibi Guesthouse in Phnom Penh. The provided database was incredibly useful, featuring old pictures of Cambodia that added a touch of history and charm to the guesthouse. the room had a balcony, allowing me to enjoy the beautiful views and soak up the atmosphere of the city. The private bathroom was also a great feature, clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and convenient experience.
While my stay was overall pleasant, there was one minor issue. The air conditioner in my room would constantly drip water onto the bed, making it difficult to sleep unless I turned off the A/C.

Quiet, well-kept, some nice decorative touches, the place has an understated elegance, especially for a guesthouse.
The location was a bit out of the way, but not more than a ten to fifteen minute walk to the riverfront. A nice park/square is across the street.

Reasonable location, near to Royal Palace, national museum. Quite central, not too far to walk to the riverfront.
Alley leading to the hotel is pretty dark and worse when it rains.

The Alibi guesthouse is walking distance from the Royale Palace and a lot of other sites.
Our room was noisy(just above the courtyard) and the breakfast was limited.

The pick-up service at the bus station was not provided despite prior communication. The breakfast was ample and delicious, especially the coffee. The guesthouse is tastefully decorated with spacious common areas on each floor. The staff were attentive and helpful when needed. The bed was comfortable and the room had convenient amenities like a fridge and kettle.

Large comfortable room in a very friendly hotel. The breakfast was basic but very good - especially the tasty bread. And the fact that breakfast was available all day was a really nice change from other places and let us sleep in. Plus they have several tuk tuk drivers on site which is nice because you know you can trust them. We used one of them for a full day and it was great while another one picked us up from the boat terminal when we arrived initially.
The location from the main drag by the river is a bit of a walk (around 15 minutes). Because our room was so large the A/C wasn't very strong. Plus the shower wasn't that hot - we had it on max and it was just ok.

An absolute gem right in the heart of the chaos! Mind-blowing location, with jaw-dropping views of the city from every room. Super friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. The restaurant serves the most delicious breakfast in a stunning garden setting. Free wi-fi and a flat-screen TV in every room, along with an electric kettle and excellent air conditioning. This place is a must-stay for anyone visiting.

the location is fantastic and the staff was very friendly. I also liked the patio very much ; it was nice to have breakfast or lunch (excellent) there.
The guesthouse is not clearly seen from the street and the drivers have problems to find it - especially for the first time - even though it is very close to the Royal Palace; I asked the reception to make a drawing with a short explanation in khmer for tuk-tuk drivers.
